Color balance

Color balance is, as the name implies, about balancing colors.
From the [Image] menu, select [Color-balance]. Three sliders will be displayed, one for each specific color. Moving each slider strengthens or weakens its respective color.
The colors on the opposite ends of each slider are complementary. The subtractive (CMY) and additive (RGB) colors are complementary colors. Each pair of subtractive colors creates an additive color, and vice versa. In other words, to remove a certain colorcast, move the slider for that color toward the other end.
I also think the present English is fine and complete. I think the Japanese is redundant, but it isn't important to me.
When making color compensation, be sure ?Constrain brightness・is checked to prevent changes in brightness. When performing this compensation, it is necessary to constrain brightness even if the data indicates the same brightness, for example -- yellow and blue -- because humans perceive brightness differently (yellow looks brighter than blue even though both have the same brightness quality).

Correcting a greenish cast

Here, as an example, use a photograph taken under fluorescent light, which gives a greenish cast. Correct the image using color balance so that it becomes as true to life as possible. It may be impossible to completely correct the color by using only the slider. In such a case, find an area that should be white, correct that area, and the other colors will be corrected so there is no colorcast.

1 Original image

This image is from a subway station with fluorescent lighting. Because the human eye adapts very well, we do not notice the greenish cast of fluorescent lights, but film or a digital sensor will register it nevertheless.

2 Highlight Adjustment

First, adjust the highlights. The fluorescent cast is usually strongest in highlights and mid-tones so we will start by adjusting the highlights. Move the Magenta / Green slider toward the magenta end.
You have corrected the greenish cast, but blue and cyan remain in the image. To correct this, move the "Cyan-red" slider toward the red end, and the "Yellow-blue" slider toward the yellow end, as shown in the figure. Adjust the sliders while paying attention to the white signboard with the Arabic script at the upper right of the image. Adjust the sliders so it is white with as little color as possible.

3 Mid-tone adjustment

Next, let's adjust the middle tones. Again, here, just moving the "Magenta-green" slider toward the magenta end does not produce normal color tone. Therefore, to correct the color, move the "Cyan-red" slider toward the red end, and the "Yellow-blue" slider toward the yellow end, as shown in the figure.
