| Select the [Text] tool and click on the where you wish to enter the characters on
the screen. Enter the characters using the keyboard. When you decide on the correct text, click [Commit Edit]
on the [Tool Options] bar. |

| Select the font from [Set Font Family] on the [Tool Options] bar. In this example,
it is set to [Times New Roman]. You can use other fonts as well. |

| Next, select the font size from [Set Font Size] on the [Tool Options] bar. In this
example, it is set to 80 pt. |

| Set the text color from [Set Text Color] on the [Tool Options] bar. In this example,
[R] is set to 70, [G] to 50 and [B] to 30. |

| To make text appear blurred, apply the [Blur] filter. Select the [Gaussian Blur] filter from the [Filter] menu. A message asking if you wish to rasterizing the text layer will be displayed. Click [OK]. The [Gaussian Blur] dialog is then displayed. Set [Radius] to the appropriate size and click [OK]. In this example, [Radius] is set to 7 pixels. Even if the same values apply, the result will differ from the example depending on the resolution of the photo. It is best to set [Radius] to your preferred value. |

| Select [Outer Glow] from [Layer Style] in the [Layer] menu. Set [Spread] and [Size] to the appropriate values. In this example, [Spread] is set to 5%, and [Size] to 50 pixels. Even if the same values apply, the result will differ from the example depending on the resolution of the photo. It is best to set each item to your preferred value. |

| Make the white layer hidden in the layers palette. Select [Merge Layers] from the
[Layer] menu. The layers are merged into two layers. Then display the white layer. |

| Make sure that the [ÉMemory] layer is selected in the layers palette. Select [Rotate]
from [Transform] in the [Edit] menu. The bounding box (a rectangular box with points on the four corners
and four sides) appears around the photo. Rotate the image by dragging the white part outside the image.
When you decide on the correct angle, click [Commit Transform] on the [Tool Options] bar. |
