| Change the drawing mode for the created Layer “paint” to [Multiply]. This mode
is selected for viewing the original image while adding colors to the layer. |

| Select [Brush tools] to set the brush size at “Hard round brush 19 pixels” on
the tool option bar. To make it easy to view how the image is painted, make sure that the [Opacity] of the
brush is set at “100%” on the tool option bar. |

| Go on to increase the brush size. Open [Brush Preset Picker] on the tool option bar to set [Master Diameter] to a larger size. In the example, [Master Diameter] is set to 50 pixels. Even if the same values apply, the result will differ from the example depending on the resolution of the photo. It is best to set your desired value for [Master Diameter], so that you can retouch the photo easily. |

| Select the color that you wish to paint on the image. Freely exercise your own creativity
to select whatever colors you like for different parts of the photo to paint the colors. |

| Make sure that Layer “paint” is selected as active on the layer palette, and
then drag in the area where you want to paint. Since you set the drawing mode at [Multiply” in Step
[2-2], you can see the original image through the layer so that you can paint efficiently. |

| Change [Drawing color] to paint one color after another. Don’t worry if the brush
runs off the edge a little bit, but fill the image completely with color. |
