2. Erasing the edge at random to create the impression of an old photo

2-1 Select the [Eraser] tool
 Make sure that [Background Color] is set to white. Select the [Eraser] tool and set the brush size to Hard Round 19 pixels on the [Tool Options] bar.


2-2 Change the eraser size
 Next, enlarge the eraser. Open [Brush Preset Picker] in the [Tool Options] bar and change [Master Diameter] to a larger size. In this example, [Master Diameter] is set to 50 pixels. Even if the same values apply, the result will differ from the example depending on the resolution of the photo. It is best to set [Master Diameter] to your preferred value, so that you can retouch the photo easily.


2-3 Partially erase the black edge
 Select the frame layer in the layers palette, and partially erase the black edge by dragging it using the [Eraser] tool.
