We examine actual dinosaur skeletons at the museum and check information on the Internet, as well as books and magazines. And not only the shape and color of the dinosaur, we also research its origins and history.

We make sketches that contain all the different ideas for the model. For example, would it look good for the dinosaur to have its jaws open in a savage roar? We assemble a few prototypes from roughly drawn patterns and adhesive tape. Then, we cut and paste the prototypes to make adjustments to their shapes.

Once the shape of the prototype is fixed, we use special software to create the patterns. It requires a great deal of fine adjustment to make sure that all the parts fit together properly when the model is assembled.

Next, we add colors to the patterns so that we can make a really great model. Of course, no one knows what Tyrannosaurus Rex really looked like, but we do our best to make the model as life-like as possible.

We now convert the pattern data into a PDF file that can be downloaded and printed out with high quality. Then, we follow the instructions and assemble the model. Once we arrange the illustration photographs, Tyrannosaurus Rex is complete!
