Edit a photo image to make the photo look like it is hand-colored. In the past, when photographs
were still rare, some people would color black-and-white photos by hand and send them to their friends in
the form of postcards. Give your photo a change to add a somewhat nostalgic look. |

In this example, a monochrome image is used.
If you use a color image, select the [Image] menu - [Mode] - [Grayscale] to convert it into a monochrome image.
And then, select the [Image] menu - [Mode] - [RGB color] so that you can manually add colors to it. |
 |
 |
1. Change the color tone of
the original image to a sepia tone.
Convert the original image into a “grayscale” one and then convert it back into an “RGB
color.” Next, select [Color tone correction] - [Hue & saturation] and check [Unify color
tone] to change the color tone of the image to your preferred sepia tone. |

2. Color the image with the
brush tools.
Create a new layer and set the [Drawing mode] to “multiply” on a temporary basis to
make it easier to add colors. Next, add any color you like to the image with no space left uncolored. |

3. Configure the layer filled
with colors.
Apply the [Gaussian blur] filter to the new
layer to smooth the boundaries between different colors. Next,
set the [Drawing mode] and the [Opacity] of the layer. |

4. Process the edge of the
image to make it look jagged.
Create a new layer at the top and set the
[Drawing color] to "white." Drag using [Brush tools]
to edit the edge of the image to make it look jagged. Select brush
types such as "spatter" in [Brush Preset Picker] to create
a jagged edge. |
