The slow loris is a mammal belonging to the Lorisidae family of the Primate order, that is originated in Southeast Asia. They do not have long tails and cannot run or jump, but are a type of primitive monkey. They are characterized by their unique large eyes and slow movement, and are omnivorous, feeding on fruit, insects, and small animals. They are generally nocturnal, and live in trees in bamboo groves and forests.
